Proverbs 29:18

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.

So I came across this scripture this morning in my quiet time. Proverbs 1 through 29 are written by King Solomon, and if he was wise enough to see and understand this, I think we need to take note. I am amazed how often we have meetings and planning sessions re our future without getting prophetic insight and input.

We rely on the wisdom of man much more than we realise or are willing to admit. We can easily con ourselves when we think that just because we open our meetings in prayer and maybe even some worship, that we have the heart of God there for us directionally. We need to remember that we then follow on using our business or theological schooling/training without prophetic insight, it will always be second best to fresh insight from the heart of the Father. Whilst these skills/training/learning etc can be God given and ordained, when they supersede the office of the Apostolic and Prophetic we are settling for second best. (Please note that the type of apostolic/prophetic authority I am talking about here is from folk with servant hearts coupled with good character)

….and we wonder why we struggle so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
